5 Ways to Make Sunday Your Best Day
Is Sunday anyone else’s favorite day of the week??
You are unwinding from the weekend- debriefing funny stories, binge-watching a show, and spending time with your friends and family. At the same time, you are preparing for the week ahead, setting goals and intentions, and taking care of yourself.
Can you do both on any other day of the week? Sunday is just so full of possibility!
Here are all my go-to ways to make Sunday your best day.
Write Down Your Intentions
This is so important! Take a few minutes on Sunday to write down your goals for the week ahead. Think about all areas of your life— work, school, fitness, relationships, home, and even time for yourself.
This might look like writing everything down in your planner, making a chore list, or scheduling your workouts for the week. Getting these ideas out of your head and onto paper can help you feel more organized and prepared. Setting these intentions on Sunday allows you to be more mindful with your time throughout the rest of the week. Instead of constantly trying to figure out what needs to get done, you already have a plan to follow.
And if you are like me, there is nothing better than crossing something off your to-do list! It may seem small, but checking things off can make you feel so productive and motivated to keep going.
Do Something for YOU
That’s it! Sunday is your day to rest and recharge, so make time for something that you genuinely enjoy. Maybe that means buying yourself a gift, exercising, watching a movie, taking a nap, or enjoying a slow morning with a cup of coffee.
Whatever it is, permit yourself to do something simply because it makes you happy.
Meal Prep One Meal
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even a snack—choose one thing to meal prep, and your future self will thank you! Having one meal or snack ready to grab can make your day feel a little easier.
Breakfast is my favorite meal to make ahead. As the mornings get busier, having something in the fridge that is already prepared and ready to eat is a lifesaver. My favorite go-to breakfast as of late is chia seed pudding. It is easy to make ahead, packed with fiber, and can be customized with so many different flavors and toppings.

Go on a Walk
I love a good walk! Walking is one of my favorite ways to get some gentle movement in on a Sunday while also giving yourself time to slow down.
During your walk, you can clear your head, reflect on the week ahead, admire your surroundings, or listen to your favorite music or podcast.
Call a Family Member or Friend
Sundays are one of the best days to catch up with the people you love! Since many people have a slower schedule on Sundays, it can be the perfect time to call a friend or family member and chat about your weekend or hear all the life updates.
As we get older and our schedules become busier, it is so important to be thoughtful about maintaining our friendships and strengthening our relationships with family. You don't have to spend hours on the phone, either. A simple 10-minute phone call can bring so much joy to both you and the person on the other end.
Sunday Reset
“Sunday Reset” is a term widely used to describe using your Sunday to prepare for the week ahead. While the phrase can sometimes sound like your Sunday needs to be filled with productivity, I think we can all create a Sunday Reset that looks different for us.
There is no right or wrong way to spend your Sunday. I hope this list gives you a little inspiration to create a Sunday Reset that makes you feel refreshed, prepared, and ready to make Sunday your BEST day!
